It prompted me to google "Greek Alphabets"
You can't see the ϝ ϝ because the letters are obsolete and most coding systems can't read them.
This is just the start...I will persevere and learn more greek! Well until I get another harebrain scheme to embark upon!

Flying with blocked ears!
Have you ever flown when you are having a bad flu and with blocked ears?
It's unbearable as you can't unblock your ears...and you are left feeling stuck!
The perpetually stuck feeling is unbearable! It even exerbates feeling of air-sickness.
Anybody knows a quick cure to that? Coffee only helps a little....

Can man be changed?
Discovered a fascinating article today whilst reading my online newspapers!
Can man be changed?
What do you think? I have someone comment on turning this into a management theory! Do you think it will work?

Dilemna
What should I do in life?
Have you asked yourself that lately?
I am quite lost...on a personal level...
Been wondering...about what I want, who I am, what I want to do and where do I see myself for the long-term future...
Have this weekend to ponder......

Toys
On the topic of toys...I personally think that as adults we haven't quite outgrown our childhood...
We all have our favourite toys and tales from childhood days. Some toys have still remained in our lives....and I won't say which ones... =)
My personal favourites from various periods of my child/teenage/adult life are:
Monty Python
Star Wars
Lego
Smurf
Winnie The Pooh
Transformers
Cabbage Patch Kids
Barbie
You could get these mechandise from these online places:
Monty Python's Mini BobbleHeads
Smurf Collectibles
I really want one of these FX Light Sabers
I didn't know Gund makes ..Winnie the Pooh Plushies..Now I want one!
Advice: Best Forgotten and to be kept hidden in the dark closet..buy or bring only if you must get one to scare kids away...Cabbage Patch Kids
On the topic of Monty Python, it's heartening to know that the appeal and humour still holds after 32 years! Monty Python Revival's Broadway show Spamalot is currently doing its rounds in various countries. Can't wait for it to come down to Singapore or Malaysia or Australia!
The movie makers down in Hollywood is making Transformer movie, which is scheduled to be completed in 2007!
I love Lego! I even have a Harry Potter set and I was lego champ as a kid! Ok..that did sound quite nerdy....Oh cool! There is even Batman Lego! So so cool!Time to update lego collection....
Lego is getting quite expensive nowadays too...Check out the Tie Collection
Ooh...I could even search for images of Winnie the Pooh on Google! Cool....

Asians....prudish?
Guess what I found....News and Analysis of Human Sexuality in Asia
One of the notable mention is "Casanovas for hire in Japan". Another professes to be the Chinese Kafka, refer to "China's unrepentant bare-assed blogger".
The Chinese Kafka? Definitly not based on similarities of the butt....
Perhaps she is confused about the use of the adjective "kafkaesque", which has come into common use to denote mundane yet absurd and surreal circumstances of the kind commonly found in Kafka's work. Or is she taking on an interpretation of Existentialism too liberally?
Somehow i think "kafkaesque", the Kafka mystique and his words have been so broodly interpreted that we have labeled stuff that are badly written or badly represented (stuff so bad that we don't understand or profess to understand) to be "kafkaesque"
Anyhow have fun with the website.....Asians aren't prudish! We all have our hidden sides!

Conceptionists vs Experimentalists
What Kind of Genius Are You?
This theory gives hope to late bloomers!
All late bloomers out there unite! We aren't behind nor are we any less intelligent than out early bloomer friends....
Now, if only the rest of the world thinks so...

A new product from wunderkins of Googleland
Got this link via a friend: Google Trends
Man, it's fun! You could see what the world is searching and how your searches are correlated.
Ok I am geeky...but aren't you often curious how and what people are searching?
I did this search and see how it turned out! Man....
Correlation of searches between sex and girls
The people from the Indian Sub-Continent ranks relatively high here....hehehe
Another search on: Correlation of searches between intelligence and women turned out to be interesting too...
Looks like the Americans and the Indians like intelligent woman? Or they like woman....in general....
Have fun correlating your trends and see what the rest of the world is searching!

We are what we are?
A friend sent me on this link and she has decidedly gone to check out the linkages between blood type and character....
Blood Types - Capillaries hold key to character
What do you think?
Does your match? The chinese post forum seems to think we are what we bleed.
I personally don't believe that blood type can determine who you are or even describe characteristics of you.
According to the first link,
Type A – The Farmer
calm
patient
sensitive
responsible
overcautious
stubborn
unable to relax
Famous A’s
Adolf Hitler
George Bush Senior
Soseki Natsume
Ringo Starr
Britney Spears
For those who know me, would you ever describe me as being calm and patient? Can you imagine a calm and patient Adolf Hitler? I am not saying that I identify with the mini one (well except for the height bit) but if the theory about blood type and characteristics ring true, I should at least identify most, if not much of my character attributes to that of Adolf Hitler's.
If the theory rings true, 38% of Japan is a mini Hitler, waiting to ambush the west!

Mathematics & Sex
Mathematics & Sex
Haven't read the book, but I am fascinated by it now. Wonder whether they stock them in Borders or Kinokuniya.
Out of curiosity, I seriously wouldn't mind flipping through it. I suspect that there will be quite a bit of game theory in it...hehe turning prisoners' dilemna into sex dilemna.... ;-P
Some mathematicians find that there isn't enough maths to substantiate or provide substantive proof of her theorems. Mate, get a life I say....what do you want? Vector algebra or partial differential equations?
I am intrigued......
I googled and found an Amazon review and even a Science Forum on this topic!

All of us rushing towards different physical destinations, but with somewhat common mental destination
We are all rushing towards work....
What is Work?
People work for a variety of reasons......most do so for monetary reasons, but others do so for passion, for their loves...
Do you love your work? A study indicated that we apparently do....
What do you work for? Do you love your work?
I like my work, but do I love my work?
As I examine my pattern of work, I realise I am spending a large part of my waking hours on work....
I don't think my work ignites my passion.....but I like my work to the extent that I will spend more than 8 hours a day on work...
So does work time correlates to passion for work? If you ask most of the hardworking executives in Asia, I reckon most will say they work heaps of hours....but how many really loves their work?

Cruelty against animals
I was quite aghast when I read this story in the papers this morning.
The Seremban Municipal Council enforcement officers broke into a person's house and enforced a court order to exterminate the owner's dogs. There were 25 dogs. Now there are only 12 left. 13 were shot dead with guns! Not with tranquilisers or through some other more humane means, but with guns!
On technical and legal grounds, the councillors have the right to issue the owner an ultimatum to either give up his dogs or relocate the dogs elsewhere as there are simply too many dogs in a small house compound in a residential area. However to take such a drastic and cruel action so as to forcibly and painfully kill those dogs, is this the mark of a civilised society?
There have been many debates about dogs in Malaysia over the years. There have been moves by local authorities to ban dogs, as conservative muslims deem dogs to be uncleaned! Haven't the local authorities heard of dog shampoos?
What about cats or even other house pets? I ask. Why should pet ownership or animal rights be tied to religion? It's preposterous to even link these issues together! In history, I have heard of many instances of animal worships, but not animal ostracism! Perhaps I should google or go on wikipedia to explore this issue further.

Returning to Blogland
I am returning to Blogland now.....
Once again, I am penning my thoughts and insights on the web.
The new me? The cynical me?
Have I been rubbed raw by the ravages of life? Or have the trials of life made me a much stronger person?
Only time will tell I suppose....
At this current time, I am not thinking or doing much...except for obsessing with: Eye Maze
Has anyone tried this? If you haven't, try it. You will actually feel that work time is passing real fast.... =)
I am restless.....I need more excitement!
